The meeting focused on the role of parliament in the strengthening of the European Union and the creation of its foreign and security policies.
One of the main speakers at the meeting were the EU's High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, and Dutch Foreign Minister Bernard Bot.
Croatia is represented by the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, Goran Jandrokovic.
"This is the first time that a chairman of Croatia's foreign affairs committee is taking part in such a meeting which in my opinion is a confirmation of Croatia's successful foreign policy, recognition of the country's candidate status and all positive things which happened in Croatia after the EU and the European Commission made a decision on our status," Jadrankovic told reporters.
