BENKOVAC, April 16 (Hina) - Croatia's Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development Minister Bozidar Kalmeta on Friday signed contracts with representatives of some 80 companies which will reconstruct war-damaged houses in the areas of Lika
and Dalmatia.

BENKOVAC, April 16 (Hina) - Croatia's Sea, Tourism, Transport and
Development Minister Bozidar Kalmeta on Friday signed contracts with
representatives of some 80 companies which will reconstruct
war-damaged houses in the areas of Lika and Dalmatia.#L#
A total of 346.7 million kuna will be invested in the reconstruction
of 1,300 houses in Dalmatia and 450 houses in Lika. The repairs should
be ended by 31 October this year.
Minister Kalmeta announced that similar contracts would soon be
concluded with companies that should reconstruct 2,250 houses in other
formerly war-stricken areas.
"We are planning to rebuild about 4,000 houses by the end of this
year. The reconstruction of houses in Croatia will be completed by
summer 2005," Kalmeta said.
