ZAGREB, March 22 (Hina) - Croatia's Minister of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development Bozidar Kalmeta and an Israeli delegation, headed by Transport Minister Avigdor Lieberman, met in Zagreb on Monday to discuss the improvement
of air links, investments in Croatian airports and ports, tourism and free zones.
ZAGREB, March 22 (Hina) - Croatia's Minister of the Sea, Tourism,
Transport and Development Bozidar Kalmeta and an Israeli delegation,
headed by Transport Minister Avigdor Lieberman, met in Zagreb on
Monday to discuss the improvement of air links, investments in
Croatian airports and ports, tourism and free zones.#L#
The two sides discussed the possibility of introducing a regular air
line between Croatia and Israel, as well as Israel's participation in
the privatisation of Croatian airports and ports, the two ministers
told reporters after the talks.
In the next 30 days the Croatian side will prepare all projects which
the Israeli side could be interested in and they will be discussed at
the next meeting of the two delegations.
The Israeli delegation is very much interested in the promotion of
cooperation in container transport, investments into Rijeka, Split,
Dubrovnik and Zadar ports, the construction of and investments in
Croatian free zones and tourism, Kalmeta said.
During the visit to Croatia, the Israeli delegation, which is
comprised of Transport Ministry officials and representatives of
several companies, will meet representatives of Zagreb airport and the
port of Rijeka, Lieberman said.
Israeli imports in Croatia in 2003 totalled some 15.2 million, while
Croatian exports to Israel amounted to slightly more than nine million
dollars.
