ZAGREB, March 26 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Friday relieved Branko Jordanic of his duty as the Chief State Inspector following a scandal about his construction of a house on the island of Krk without obtaining building
permits.

A spokesman for the government, Ratko Macek said that the government
would perhaps next week appoint Jordanic's successor.
The Ivo Sanader cabinet also relieved Sanja Crnkovic Pozaic of her
duty as the head of the Croatian Employment Office, and appointed
Zrinka Blazevic as the acting director of the said office.
During a session held behind the closed doors, the government made
more decisions on appointments and replacements.
