According to a part of the footage, Gotovina said that "there is
total, total chaos, the operation performed at the highest level in
the military sense. After the action, after the battle - chaos.
Totally spoilt kids, idle, with no responsibility. The duty of the
commander is not to take care after a battle when an how a town will
begin functioning. It is a matter of logistics. It is a matter to be
dealt with by some other structures, military police, security,
political departments, scientists, logistics."
The transcript of the video record will be published in Wednesday's
issue of Globus. The Nova TV announced it would broadcast the entire
footage in a special programme on Wednesday and would invite guests,
including the incumbent Justice Minister Vesna Skare-Ozbolt, retired
brigadier Ante Kotromanovic, and the weekly's editor-in-chief Igor
Alborghetti.
The TV station said the footage, considered to be of key importance
for the interpretation of the Gotovina case and Operation Storm, was
believed for years to be missing. It said the video shed new light on
the role of General Gotovina, who severely criticised the responsible
bodies for the chaos and who called for the restoration of order to
the town.
