biggest media accredited in his country in connection with the recent
escalation of violence in Kosovo.#L#
Marovic said it was imperative to do everything to stop the ethnically
motivated violence in Kosovo and to prevent it from reoccurring.
"We must continue with the struggle for a multiethnic Kosovo,
democratic values and European standards. The developments in Kosovo
must not be viewed as the defeat of European values, multiethnicity,
U.N. institutions and the hope and prospects of the Western Balkans
becoming a stable region."
He added it was necessary to support the Europeisation of the Western
Balkans as a whole in which Serbia-Montenegro's role would be of great
importance.
