SPLIT, March 9 (Hina) - The Croatian Academic Association Split (HAU) fully supports the Croatian government's position on the latest indictments from the UN war crimes tribunal and advocates reasonable cooperation with the tribunal,
the association said in a statement on Tuesday.

The association welcomes the readiness of generals Ivan Cermak and
Mladen Markac to go to The Hague and prove their innocence before the
tribunal.
"We deeply hope that the alleged insinuations from the latest
indictments about 'a criminal enterprise aimed at ethnic cleansing'
will be challenged before the tribunal," it is said in the statement
signed by Father Ivan Grubisic.
