The Bank's delegation, which paid a week-long visit to Zagreb, is now
expected to compile a report on the status of the HZ restructuring
project with the Bank's recommendations.
The report will be drawn up in the first part of next week, after
which the HZ management is expected to give its remarks. The document
will be forwarded to the management of the World Bank and the Croatian
government by the end of next week.
According to a press release the HZ issued after today's meeting,
funds should be secured for the company's current business plan. If
there is not enough money, it will be necessary to urgently draw up a
scenario for a reduced volume of activities, which would result in the
closing of local railway lines and labour cuts, the HZ warned.
