According to a press release issued by the ministry, Vukelic and his
interlocutor voiced satisfaction with good political relations and
spoke about importance of promoting economic cooperation.
The volume of trade between Croatia and Turkey significantly rose
after a bilateral agreement on free trade came into effect on 1 July
last year.
In 2003, Croatia's exports into Turkey totalled 21.3 million US
dollars, while Turkey's exports into Croatia amounted to 124 million.
