BELGRADE, Jan 25(Hina) - The Main Committee of the Democratic Party decided on Sunday that party vice-presidents Boris Tadic and Zoran Zivkovic should offer other parties of the democratic bloc - the Democratic Party of Serbia of
Vojislav Kostunica, G17 Plus of Miroljub Labus, and the coalition of the Serb Revival Movement of Vuk Draskovic and New Serbia of Velimir Ilic - to form a majority government.
BELGRADE, Jan 25(Hina) - The Main Committee of the Democratic Party
decided on Sunday that party vice-presidents Boris Tadic and Zoran
Zivkovic should offer other parties of the democratic bloc - the
Democratic Party of Serbia of Vojislav Kostunica, G17 Plus of Miroljub
Labus, and the coalition of the Serb Revival Movement of Vuk Draskovic
and New Serbia of Velimir Ilic - to form a majority government.#L#
Tadic said that Serbia did not need another election if there was good
political will, while Zivkovic called on the parties of the democratic
bloc to continue talks on the new government on Monday.
Vojislav Kostunica and his party have so far dismissed the possibility
of forming a majority government that would include the Democratic
Party.
The leader of New Serbia, Velimir Ilic, has supported parties of the
democratic bloc reaching an agreement on a majority or a minority
government, while the leaders of other parties have not commented on
the proposal of the Democratic Party.
