MOSTAR, Jan 20(Hina) - The international community's High
Representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Paddy Ashdown, will meet
Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader in Zagreb on Tuesday for the first
time since the appointment of the new government in Croatia, the
Office of the High Representative (OHR) has said.#L#
Later in the day, Ashdown will have separate talks with Croatian
President Stjepan Mesic.
The OHR said the talks with Sanader and Mesic would focus on all
issues of importance to Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as on
Croatia's efforts to join the European Union.
One of the most important subjects will be the administrative
reorganisation of the southern Bosnian city of Mostar, which will
apparently have to be decided by Ashdown himself because talks with
Bosnian Croat and Muslim political parties in Mostar have yielded no
substantial results.
Ashdown arrives in Zagreb before his visit to Mostar later this week
when it will be clear whether the British diplomat will use his powers
as the High Representative and impose a solution in Mostar.
