ZAGREB, Jan 15 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) branch in Osijek-Baranja County, Branimir Glavas, told a news conference on Thursday that his party would not even consider forming a coalition with the
Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Liberal Party (LS), because those parties had committed legal and political repression in the Osijek-Baranja County Assembly during the last mandate.
ZAGREB, Jan 15 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Democratic Union
(HDZ) branch in Osijek-Baranja County, Branimir Glavas, told a news
conference on Thursday that his party would not even consider forming
a coalition with the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), the Social
Democratic Party (SDP) and the Liberal Party (LS), because those
parties had committed legal and political repression in the
Osijek-Baranja County Assembly during the last mandate.#L#
He particularly dismissed the possibility of forming a coalition with
the county's HSS even "if the HDZ had to go into opposition".
He said that HSS leader Zlatko Tomcic should have resigned after the
November 23 parliamentary elections so as to enable the consolidation
of his party which, Glavas believes, is on the verge of break-up.
