THE HAGUE/ZAGREB, Nov 30 (Hina) - The Hague-based International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Wednesday acquitted two Kosovo Albanians of war crimes charges, citing lack of evidence, and sentenced a third to 13 years in prison.

Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) area commanders Fatmir Limaj and Isak Musliu were acquitted of torture and killing of Serb civilians and suspected Albanian collaborators, held in the KLA-run Lapusnik camp in the summer of 1998, while camp guard Haradin Bala was found guilty of the same crimes and sentenced to 13 years' imprisonment.

The Trial Chamber found Bala personally responsible for the torture and cruel treatment of prisoners and said that he had personally participated in the murder of nine prisoners on Mount Berisa in late July 1998.
