Biskupic said that in his talks with UNESCO leaders and in his address to the General Assembly he had pointed out that Croatia was safeguarding its tangible and intangible cultural heritage and proposed that certain Croatian cultural sites be included on the World Heritage List.
According to the minister, Croatia would like to have the Ager of Stari Grad on the southern Adriatic island of Hvar, the best preserved site of an ancient agrarian colony in the Mediterranean, inscribed on the World Heritage List.
Biskupic said he had also talked about progress in the implementation of the Bologna Process, noting that this was one of Croatia's priorities in the area of education.
