ZAGREB, Sept 18 (Hina) - The 81st annual Zagreb International Autumn Fair has justified expectations and proved to be the central economic event in Croatia and Southeast Europe, Zagreb Fair Assistant General Director Juraj Centner said on Sunday, the last day of the event.

The fair featured 1,750 exhibitors, including 789 from 40 foreign countries, Centner said, adding that the number of visitors was likely to be about 100,000.

The Zagreb Fair management said they were satisfied with the financial results, saying they were on last year's level, although concrete figures will be known in two weeks' time.

The most successful exhibitors were presented with awards, while the best food products were given quality medals.
