PODGORICA, Aug 5 (Hina) - The director of the Montenegrin NationalSecurity Agency, Dusko Markovic, on Friday refuted allegations from areport of the Podgorica-based Monitor weekly that the war-time BosnianSerb leader Radovan Karadzic, who is wanted by the UN war crimestribunal, was hiding in the local buildings of the Serb OrthodoxChurch in Montenegro, but he did not rule out a possibility that hemight be sneaked into Montenegro.
PODGORICA, Aug 5 (Hina) - The director of the Montenegrin National Security Agency, Dusko Markovic, on Friday refuted allegations from a report of the Podgorica-based Monitor weekly that the war-time Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, who is wanted by the UN war crimes tribunal, was hiding in the local buildings of the Serb Orthodox Church in Montenegro, but he did not rule out a possibility that he might be sneaked into Montenegro.

Markovic said that "Montenegro could be used with ill intentions to possibly sneak Radovan Karadzic onto its territory so that it could be accused of noncooperation with the Hague tribunal and assistance in hiding war criminals".

We are aware that there are such combinations, but we shall try to thwart them, he added.

The weekly has reported that Karadzic is hiding in the Serb Orthodox Church buildings in near Niksicko Slivlje highlands, and that his arrest can soon be expected.
