Croatian writer wins Italian award

ZAGREB, May 24 (Hina) - Croatian writer Miljenko Jergovic has beengiven the Premio Napoli 2005 award for his collection of poems called"Hauzmajstor Sulc", the Zagreb publishing agency Durieux reported onTuesday.
ZAGREB, May 24 (Hina) - Croatian writer Miljenko Jergovic has been given the Premio Napoli 2005 award for his collection of poems called "Hauzmajstor Sulc", the Zagreb publishing agency Durieux reported on Tuesday.

In the category of poetry, the award has also been given to Ryszard Kapuscinski for his collection "Taccuino d'appunti" and Milo De Angelis for the collection "Tema dell'addio".

The Premio Napoli award is given every four years and it covers four categories - Italian prose, foreign prose, poetry and essays.

The jury deciding about this year's award consisted of prominent Italian journalists and writers.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony in Naples on September 25 this year.
