This regional magazine, that has so far had nine issues, was founded at the initiative of a group of intellectuals and writers from all the countries in the area of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The magazine comes out four times a year.
"If cooperation has been established in the economy and sports, there is no reason for cooperation not to be intensified in the field of culture," said the magazine's editor-in-chief, Velimir Viskovic. The magazine, which has been hailed by several European and US politicians and intellectuals, has been financially supported by the European Union, various foundations and especially Scandinavian countries.
A member of the delegation said during the meeting with Mesic that the Croatian President was the first regional leader to show interest in this projects in literature.
