The event, to last until May 13, is held under the slogan "Maritime Medicine: A Global Challenge".
Representatives of the World Health Organisation attending the seminar were presented with the third edition of an international brochure on medical procedure to be used on all ships in the world. Croatian experts participated in drawing up the brochure.
The seminar on maritime medicine is organised every year in a different town and it is organised by the International Maritime Health Association with the support of the United Nations, the WHO, the International Labour Organisation, the International Maritime Organisation, the International Sailors' Union and the International Organisation for Migration.
The seminar will also include a meeting of the International Maritime Health Association.
