BELGRADE, April 25 (Hina) - A retired general of the Army of Serbia and Montenegro and ICTY indictee, Nebojsa Pavkovic, on Monday voluntarily travelled to The Hague.

Pavkovic, who will first stop in Rotterdam for a medical examination, was accompanied by Serbian government and local self-government minister Zoran Locar and a doctor from the military-medical academy in Belgrade.

Announcing his voluntary surrender, the Serbian government said on Friday, Pavcevic had informed the government of his decision to voluntary surrender on Friday and added he would travel to The Hague to fully fulfil his military oath.

The Serbian government has said that at it next session in will adopt a decision on providing necessary guarantees for Pavkovic's provisional release pending trial.

Pavkovic is charged with war crimes in Kosovo in 1999. Also charged are general Sreten Lukic, who surrendered a month ago, GeneralVladimir Lazarevic who was released pending trial last week, and Generl Vlastimir Lazarevic, who fled the country soon after the fall of the Slobodan Milosevic regime in October 2000 and is allegedly in Russia,
