"Judge Bonomy issued a Decision granting provisional release to Ramush Haradinaj for a limited period, to enable him to attend his brother"s funeral and post funeral ceremonies," the statement said.
Haradinaj was granted provisional release on condition he did not have or attempted to have contacts with potential prosecution witnesses in the case against him or any of the surviving witnesses referred to in the indictment, or attempt in any way to interfere with the administration of justice, and on condition he did not have or attempted to have contacts with a representative of any media organisation.
Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Kosumi said today that Haradinaj's brother Enver had been killed by people who had been threatening "to set Kosovo on fire" for the past year and who tried to cause unrest in Kosovo after Ramush Haradinaj's voluntary surrender to the ICTY.
