Commenting on media speculations that he would be the HDZ candidate for the Zagreb mayoral post, Primorac said that similar speculations had appeared before the last presidential elections, but he was not the HDZ candidate then either.
In this context he said that many projects had been launched in the education ministry which should be finished. The Vecernji List daily on Tuesday ran an article on Primorac as a possible candidate of the HDZ for Zagreb mayor.
Primorac also reiterated that he was not an HDZ member and that he was not member of any other political party.
The leader of the nonparliamentary Independence and Progress party (SIN), Nenad Ivankovic, today reported that he would run for Zagreb mayor.
He added that his party would run in the local elections only in the city of Zagreb.
