Mesic said in Koprivnica he thought the European Union commission coming soon to Croatia for monitoring would be satisfied as well.
"I am absolutely certain that Gotovina isn't here. There's new information as well," he said in response to the question from the press how sure he was that the fugitive general was not in Croatia or Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Mesic also said he was confident Croatia's EU entry negotiations, which were postponed in March because of Gotovina, would be launched by June.
He visited Koprivnica on the occasion of Koprivnica-Krizevci County Day.
