SPLIT/SISAK, April 18 (Hina) - The coalition of the Social Democratic Party, the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS), the Croatian People's Party (HNS) and the Croatian Pensioners' Party (HSU) on Monday presented a platform in case it won local elections in the biggest Croatian Adriatic city, Split.

The top candidate of this list is Ljubomir Ulic of the SDP, who is a candidate for Split Mayor.

This coalition is now in power in the city.

The branch of the HNS on Monday signed agreements on cooperation with representatives of the Serb, Bosniak, Albanian and Hungarian ethnic minorities in Sisak (50 kilometres south-east of Zagreb).

The agreements were hailed by Davorko Vidovic of the SDP which, together with the HNS and the HSS, already agreed on a local coalition ahead of the coming elections. These three parties now constitute the Opposition in the city in which the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), together with the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) and some other right-wing parties, is in power.

The local elections in Croatia will be held on 15 May.
