ZAGREB, April 14 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Thursday endorsed a report on privatisation audits from December 2003 to September 2004.

The Sabor bound the Sate Prosecutor's Office to brief MPs within 60 days about measures it had taken against reported irregularities and other acts of wrongdoing in ownership transformation and privatisation.

The Croatian National Bank (HNB) is obligated to submit to the parliament within 90 days reports on the process of establishment of every bank and changes in their ownership structure.

The state agency for the insurance of bank accounts is obligated to inform the parliament, within the same time term, about the rehabilitation and restructuring of banks.

The Croatian Privatisation Fund (HFP) is bound to take a position on the audit report within 90 days.

After it receives all the reports, the parliament is to decide on measures necessary for the removal of irregularities and unlawful acts.

The Sabor also endorsed a report on audits in ministries, bodies of local authority, bureaus and agencies and public companies in 2003, which was the last year of the coalition government before the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) came to power.

MPs passed a law on representation in the field of intellectual ownership, changed the law on court registers and sent independent MP Slaven Letica's draft act on ombudsman for the Croatian Diaspora into the second reading.

After the voting, Sabor Speaker Vladimir Seks said the 13th session was over and announced the 14th session for 18 or 19 May, after the local elections on 15 May.
