ZAGREB, March 21 (Hina) - A US airplane boeing 135 landed at the
Pleso airport in Zagreb on Monday as part of the international security project
called "Open Skies". Croatia became a full member of this project, which
includes 34 member-countries, on 1 January this year. The
reconnaissance aircraft with a US crew is equipped with a special video- and
photo-equipment.
On Wednesday the aircraft will fly over Croatia and Slovenia, and the
crew will be allowed to take pictures of objects they choose, Croatian army
officer Sasa Peic said on Monday.
The US 30-member crew will help train Croatian Air Force members for
this project, Peic added.
Wednesday's manoeuvres will engage 15 Croatian Air Force members, as
well as seven Slovenes and one observer from Bosnia-Herzegovina.
