LUXEMBOURG, Feb 13 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul
will visit Luxembourg on Monday, where he will meet his Luxembourg counterpart
and chairman of the European Union's Council of Ministers, Jean Asselborn, to
discuss preparations for Croatia's EU entry talks and chances that they start
on March 17 as planned. Zuzul will also attend a meeting of European
development ministers.The two ministers will discuss the progress of Croatia's candidacy for
EU membership, the Luxembourg EU Presidency has said in a brief statement.
Minister Asselborn and Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean Claude Juncker
last Friday met with the chief prosecutor of the Hague war crimes tribunal,
Carla del Ponte. They reiterated after the meeting that Croatia must establish
full cooperation with the Hague tribunal and hand over the runaway general Ante
Gotovina if Croatia's EU entry talks are to start on March 17.
On Monday and Tuesday, Minister Zuzul will attend an informal meeting of
development ministers from EU member and candidate countries, including
Croatia.
He will meet European Development Commissioner Louis Michel and other
officials.
