This was agreed at a meeting between Serbia and Montenegro's Human and Minority Rights Minister Rasim Ljajic and Croatia's Assistant Foreign Minister for Minorities, Emigrants and Immigrants Slavko Leban in Belgrade on Monday.
The Serbia and Montenegro Council of Ministers' information department said that a joint commission for assistance to minorities is expected to be set up soon with the aim of promoting cooperation in the mutual protection of minorities.
The commission would be comprised of representatives of ministries and minorities from both countries.
Leban today also met the head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia and Montenegro, Maurizio Massari. On Tuesday he will visit Subotica to meet with representatives of the Croat community.
