Immediately upon arriving, Biskupic attended the ceremony at which the Croat Congress Club was formed at the Capitol Hill on Tuesday evening. The club is aimed at strengthening the US-Croatia relations and promote the two countries' interests. Also present at the ceremony was the co-chairman of the Club, Republican Congressman from California George Radanovic, Democratic Congressman from Indiana Peter Visclosky and Croatian Ambassador in the United States Neven Jurica, who on behalf of Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, congratulated US representatives on forming the Croat Congress Club.
Minister Biskupic will attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington on Thursday and visit American Croats in San Pedro, California.
He told Hina he expected to meet representatives of the US State Department and the Republican Party.
On February 7, Biskupic will sign an agreement on cooperation between the Croatian Culture Ministry and the Congress Library and hold a lecture on the role of culture and the cultural policy in the transition process in Croati.a
On the last day of his his visit to the US, February 9, Biskupic will visit the White House where he will sign an agreement on the US-Croatia protection and preservation of cultural goods.
