The meeting with the leaders of the country chairing the European Union is scheduled for late afternoon, after which the three officials will hold a joint press conference, spokespersons of Luxembourg's Government and the Hague tribunal's Office of the Prosecutor announced on Thursday.
The meeting will also address the tribunal's exit strategy and the strengthening of efforts to arrest the remaining fugitives.
Del Ponte's evaluation whether Croatia fully cooperates with the Hague tribunal or not will be a key element of a report which Luxembourg's chair is due to submit to the EU Council of Ministers next month. Based on this document, which Asselborn has described as a fully documented report, the Union's ministers are expected to reach a decision by March 16 whether Croatia's EU entry talks will start on the 17th or be postponed.
