ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - A two-day conference on a systematic approach
to the struggle against terrorism ended in Zagreb on Tuesday with the
conclusion that international cooperation is necessary and that Croatia is a
partner in the fight against global terror.Krunoslav Antolis, who chaired the committee which organised the
conference, said Croatia wished to apply to host the annual conference of the
Partnership for Peace Consortium of Defence Academies and Security Studies
Institutes in June 2006 as part of preparations to join NATO.
Antolis said it was necessary to define national security concepts in
the fight against global terrorism while taking into consideration fundamental
human rights.
