Bakota held talks with several senior Foreign Office officials on further bilateral cooperation and on possibilities for the occasional training of Croatian diplomats in Britain.
The head of the Home Office's visas department, Kevin Egan, voiced satisfaction with the reduced number of applications of Croatian citizens seeking asylum in Britain, the press release reads. The two officials exchanged information on the current visa regime between Croatia and Britain, and discussed possibilities of further cooperation in this field in the context of Croatia's efforts to join the European Union.
