ZAGREB, Jan 31 (Hina) - The Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) has said that it will not create a coalition with any other party before the forthcoming local elections, while this opposition right party is open to post-election cooperation with all who are willing to support to the greatest extent the HSP platform.

HSP leaders, who on Monday held a news conference in Zagreb, said that a coalition with the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS) was out of question. Explaining the party's position that it would in no way make coalition with the SDSS, party chief Ante Djapic said the HSP did not want to cooperate with a party in whose ranks there were some people who had taken part in the occupying authorities, namely in the so-called Krajina (Croatian areas held by rebel Serbs in 1990s).

Djapic is also against plans for the establishment a joint Croatian-Slovene history commission, as he is in favour of lodging the border Croatian-Slovene dispute with the Hague-based International Court of Justice.

The HSP chief said that he opposed announced amendments to laws so as to strip Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Diaspora of the right to vote in Croatia's elections. Djapic told the news conference that he did no see that the irregularities which happened in Bosnia during the last Croatian presidential elections were a sufficient reason to change the Croatian electoral legislation and deny Croats in Bosnia and the Diaspora their acquired rights.
