VARAZDIN, Jan 21 (Hina) - Senior People's Party (HNS) official Radimir Cacic said on Friday the Social Democrats (SDP) were responsible for the HNS' motion to establish a commission to investigate Prime Minister Ivo Sanader's assets being taken off Parliament's agenda.

Speaking to the press in the northern town of Varazdin, Cacic said the SDP had ordered its official Sime Lucin to withdraw his signature from the HNS motion, which made the number of signatures required for it to be discussed fall below the necessary 16.

Cacic said the HNS would insist on establishing the commission, and added that the PM could feel safe as long as he and SDP leader Ivica Racan protected each other.
