PRISTINA, Jan 14 (Hina) - Leaders of the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK)and Kosovo Force (KFOR) have agreed that the Kosovo Protection CorpsGuard should attend official welcome ceremonies and provide escortduring visits by foreign
officials to the province, it was stated inPristina on Friday.
PRISTINA, Jan 14 (Hina) - Leaders of the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK)
and Kosovo Force (KFOR) have agreed that the Kosovo Protection Corps Guard
should attend official welcome ceremonies and provide escort during visits by
foreign officials to the province, it was stated in Pristina on Friday.A spokesman for KFOR said that the KFOR commander, General Yves de
Kermabon, and UN Civil Administrator Soren Jessen-Petersen had agreed that the
Kosovo Protection Corps Guard should be present at official ceremonies, but
that details regarding the matter would be defined soon.
Representatives of the Kosovo Protection Corps command said the decision
was an important step in defining the role of this institution.
