Even if the decision on the annulment of the defence ministries in the Republic of Srpska and the Bosnian Federation is made without the political will and agreement of Bosnian Serb structures, this may not complicate the security situation in Bosnia, the general was quoted by the Banja Luka-based Nezavisne Novine as saying on Saturday.
The decision on the annulment of the entity ministries is not new. This decision has been discussed by a commission for the reform in the defence sector in Bosnia, said Schook, adding that the High Representative to Bosnia, Paddy Ashdown, recently only suggested that the two entities should adopt relevant laws so as to close their defence ministries by the end of 2005.
