On Wednesday, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) of Bosnia-Herzegovina called on voters to cast their ballots for the HDZ candidate, Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor.
The New Croatian Initiative (NHI) and the Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) expressed their support for the incumbent President Stjepan Mesic, while the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) called on voters to back HSP candidate Slaven Letica.
On the other hand, the Croatian People's Union (HNZ) said that Croats and other citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina who hold dual Bosnian and Croatian citizenship should not take part in the vote.
"The Croats living in Bosnia-Herzegovina have to demonstrate greater maturity about elections that directly affect their daily lives in Bosnia-Herzegovina rather than participate in the election of head of state in the Republic of Croatia," the HNZ said.
