SARAJEVO, Dec 5 (Hina) - Ambassadors of NATO member countries accredited in Sarajevo requested Bosnia and Herzegovina's authorities on Tuesday to intensify efforts so that the remaining war crimes fugitives wanted by the Hague tribunal, notably Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic, could be arrested.

The ambassadors met the members of the state Presidency to congratulate them on Bosnia's recent inclusion into NATO's Partnership for Peace programme, but used this opportunity to point out the need to take further steps in defence reform and cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

US Ambassador Douglas McElhaney told the press the Presidency was informed that both processes must continue now that Bosnia and Herzegovina was invited to the NATO programme. This especially refers to the arrest of Karadzic and Mladic, he said.
