BELGRADE, Aug 16 (Hina) - An envoy of the International Criminal
Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Patrick Lopez-Perres, on Wednesday
met Serbian officials to discuss Belgrade's efforts to arrest former Bosnian
Serb commander Ratko Mladic. Lopez-Perres, an ICTY investigator in
charge of talks with Belgrade regarding Mladic's apprehension, held talks with
Serbian special war crimes prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic.
Spokesman for the ICTY Prosecutor's Office Anton Nikiforov was unable
to tell the press anything about Lopez-Perres's visit.
The head of Serbia's council for cooperation with the ICTY, Rasim
Ljajic, said the visit was part of the usual procedure.
