BELGRADE, Aug 2 (Hina) - Transparency International Serbia on
Wednesday voiced concern about a World Bank report on corruption in Serbia,
saying it was necessary to implement determined and effective measures to
combat corruption. The report said corruption in Serbia was on the
rise, notably in the bribing of state bodies, tax staff, individuals in courts
and services issuing various business-related permits.
TI Serbia called on the competent authorities to show more political
will to tackle corruption and unreserved willingness to apply and honour
anti-corruption and other regulations.
