The delegations concluded that a ferry-boat stolen during the Serbian occupation of eastern Croatia's Danube river region would be returned to the residents of Sarengrad, a town in Croatia across the Danube from Backa Palanka, within 30 days with the support of local authorities in Vojvodina, the autonomous province in northern Serbia.
Representatives of Vojvodina authorities from Backa Palanka municipality said they wanted to cooperate with Vukovar-Srijem County without prejudging the outstanding border issues on the Danube.
They expressed willingness to reopen the Sarengradska islet, which local residents have been unable to use for nearly a decade, as soon as possible.
