BELGRADE, July 21 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and Serbian President Boris Tadic assessed in Belgrade on Friday that the progress of Croatia and Serbia in European and Euro-Atlantic integration was of common interest.

The two officials discussed the advancement of political and economic relations, the building and strengthening of regional stability and cooperation, respect for human and minority rights, and the settlement of the refugee issue, the Serbian Presidency said in a statement.

Sanader and Tadic also extended full support to joint ventures of Serbian and Croatian business people on third markets, the statement said.

Tadic also informed Sanader of the Serbian negotiating team's position on the future status of Kosovo, while Sanader once again stressed that the status issue must be settled with Belgrade's agreement.

After meeting Tadic, Sanader left for Subotica in northern Serbia to meet representatives of the Croatian National Council and the Democratic League of Croats in Vojvodina.

The Croatian delegation's visit to Belgrade took place under tight security measures.
