About 300 protesters, mainly high school and university students, gathered in the main square, carrying Serbia's flags and banners saying, among other things, "This is Serbia", and calling for the separation of the Bosnian Serb entity. They also sang Chetnik songs.
Dane Cankovic, the leader of the SNP, whose motto is "The Choice Is Ours", said that since May 29 about 50,000 people had signed a petition for calling a referendum on the separation of Republika Srpska from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
