The Ministry said in a statement the export of infantry weapons to Iraqi government troops had been done in accordance with domestic laws and international standards, as well as under the strict supervision of the former NATO-led Stabilisation Force.
The permits the Ministry issued for the export of arms were fully in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions from 2003 and 2004.
The Ministry said it was ready to talk with AI representatives in order to clarify anything that might be unclear regarding the export of arms to Iraq.
According to earlier explanations, Bosnia exported to Iraq in 2004 and 2005 about 200,000 pieces of infantry weaponry and 28 million pieces of ammunition.
