PRISTINA, June 8 (Hina) - Several thousand people on Thursday gathered in front of the headquarters of the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) in the capital of Pristina, asking for the withdrawal of the UNMIK from this UN-administered
province and the revocation of the UN security Council's Resolution 1244 on Kosovo.
PRISTINA, June 8 (Hina) - Several thousand people on Thursday
gathered in front of the headquarters of the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) in
the capital of Pristina, asking for the withdrawal of the UNMIK from this
UN-administered province and the revocation of the UN security Council's
Resolution 1244 on Kosovo. They also insisted on giving Kosovo the
right to self-determination.
The rally, which was held in a peaceful atmosphere, was organised by
the 'Self-Determination' movement, led by Albin Kurti, a former student leader,
and several other associations.
Later in the day, protesters dispersed peacefully.
