Moeller said Denmark fully supported Croatia's Euro-Atlantic integration and agreed with Mesic's assessment that the reforms Croatia was undertaking were fully in accordance with European standards.
The two officials discussed the situation in the region. Moeller was interested in Mesic's estimates of developments following Montenegro's declaration of independence from the state union with Serbia, the forthcoming definition of the status of Kosovo, and the international community's role in the region.
Moeller expressed understanding for the position that the Kosovo issue should be dealt with along the way, starting from the position that going back to the previous state of affairs was absolutely impossible.
The two officials were agreed that Croatian-Danish relations were good and that they should be developed further.
