BELGRADE, May 17 (Hina) - Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica has said that the people of Montenegro will make a historic decision at a referendum on May 21 and that "the division of the country and the breaking up of unity is
of no good to Serbia or Montenegro".

Kostunica has said that the people of Montenegro will make a historic decision
at a referendum on May 21 and that "the division of the country and the
breaking up of unity is of no good to Serbia or Montenegro". In a
statement sent to the media on Wednesday, Kostunica said that Serbia "deeply
respects Montenegro and the Montenegrin people, its state tradition and great
men".
"Serbia wants to live together with Montenegro in a joint state out of
sincere and brotherly respect. Let us extend a brotherly hand to one another
and build our future together," Kostunica said in the statement among other
things.
