BELGRADE, May 4 (Hina) - Serbian President Boris Tadic has
expressed deep concern over the suspension of negotiations on a Stabilisation
and Association Agreement (SAA) between the European Union and the state union
of Serbia-Montenegro and called on all democratic forces to join in the efforts
to defend Serbia's EU aspirations, local electronic media reported in Belgrade
on Thursday. Tadic said in a statement he was concerned about the
delayed process of Serbia-Montenegro's integration with the European Union,
adding that it was weakening the country's position at the negotiations on the
future status of Kosovo.
The EU suspended the SAA talks on Wednesday after Serbia failed to
locate and arrest the Bosnian Serb wartime military leader, General Ratko
Mladic, wanted by the UN war crimes tribunal.
