The two officials arrived in that northern Adriatic resort to attend the final of the ATP Croatian Open between Spanish and Romanian tennis players: Carlos Moya and Andrei Pavel.
According to the Office of the Croatian President, during their open and cordial Mesic and Komsic exchanged opinions on topical issues in the relations between the two neighbouring countries, including plans for the construction of the Peljesac bridge and the management of the Ploce seaport.
They agreed that it was necessary for the two countries to reach as soon as possible and agreement on property rights.
Mesic and Komsic also spoke about Croatia's candidacy to become a nonpermanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
