PULA, April 6 (Hina) - The mayors of the northern Croatian Adriatic city of Pula and the Japanese city of Hekinan, Boris Miletic and Taku Nagashima, signed an agreement on cooperation in Hekinan on Thursday, the office of the Pula
mayor said on Friday.

Adriatic city of Pula and the Japanese city of Hekinan, Boris Miletic and Taku
Nagashima, signed an agreement on cooperation in Hekinan on Thursday, the
office of the Pula mayor said on Friday. The agreement, signed on
the occasion of Hekinan Day, binds the two cities to develop friendship,
exchange information and cooperate in education and programs intended for
children and people with special needs, as well as in culture, sports and
economy.
Hekinan, a city in the Japanese province Aichi with a population of
70,000, was Croatia's host at the 2005 world exhibition EXPO.
